Hello!

It has been awhile since I have written. In fact, I haven't done much other than work on my website. It is funny because I feel like part of this jewelry business, I enjoy working more on the behind the scenes such as making my website and just creating jewelry. All the other aspects, I am not that great of a fan. For example: photography, editing, and worst of all, SOCIAL MEDIA.

Who here struggles with social media? Or just trying to get out there? Me. That is right. I won't say that me being an introvert is an excuse to my poor social media skills. I think it is purely the fact that I feel uncomfortable putting myself out there and always expecting a good flop...insecurity. And okay, maybe that I am very lazy when it comes to posting and prepping. You know, I have to get my camera going and prep the view...work on lighting before I can even record myself or take pictures. That is a lot work. I don't think people get paid enough for that kind of work. It takes skills, attention, and patience! 

Another thing that I really dislike about social media is finding the purpose to what my content means. How can I involve people to buy? What am I trying to get across? What is your main content? What are you trying to prove? How can you engage your viewers? Seriously. I don't know. A lot of times, can I just post because I want to post? Lol. Or that maybe because I am trying to sell my products? I don't know...

While on this journey, I find that there are things I like about being a small business owner, and then there are things that I do not like. I am sure I will be discovering more likes and interests along with dislikes soon here. I think that so far, I am doing okay. Social media just really is not my strong suit. Any advice or suggestions? I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to know because I know social media is a powerful tool in marketing your brand. :< Thank you.
